Nancy's friend invited her over to celebrate Halloween on October 31, 1983. This is the last time Nancy was heard from. A few weeks later, her brother tried to contact her to invite her over for the Thanksgiving Day dinner but he wasn't able to reach her.
Nancy lived with her boyfriend, Jeff Jeffries, and her two young children, Omar Penner and Yana Jeffries, in Paradise, California at the time of her disappearance.
Her son believes she was murdered and may be buried in a remote area of Butte County or possibly thrown down one of the many mine shafts.
